KATHMANDU, July 6: 'Nagabandham', a big-budget mythological drama inspired by ancient Hindu legends and packed with action and fantasy, has hit cinemas across Nepal.
Distributed in Nepal by Capital World, the film began screening nationwide from Saturday evening, promising audiences a "larger-than-life" cinematic experience.

Written and directed by Abhishek Nama, the film explores the mysteries surrounding the priceless treasure of Lord Anantha Padmanabhaswamy, believed to be hidden deep in the Himalayas, and the legendary Brahma Kamal (golden lotus) preserved at the historic Srirangapuram Temple.
The story follows Rudra, played by Virat Karna, who is portrayed as a powerful manifestation of Lord Shiva. He risks his life to protect his community and its sacred heritage from evil forces.
The film also stars Nabha Natesh and Aishwarya Menon in lead roles, alongside veteran actors Mahesh Manjrekar, Jagapathi Babu, Murali Sharma, and Rishabh Sahni. Ramachandra Raju, best known for playing Garuda in KGF, portrays the film's main antagonist.
Produced by Kishore Annapureddy and Nishita Nagireddy under the banners of NIK Studios and Abhishek Pictures, Nagabandham blends mythology with social, political and communal themes. According to the filmmakers, the movie is expected to resonate with audiences interested in Hindu mythology and epic fantasy.
