Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) organized the 1st South Asian Artist Camp on Wednesday at Kupondole, Lalitpur.

The camp was inaugurated by Rabindra Adhikari, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
Adhikari appreciated Nepal's rich art and culture and also stated that they would lead the country to prosperity. He further added that the South Asian Art Camp would support mutual brotherhood among artists. Ragini Upadhyaya, Chancellor of NAFA, added that the camp would contribute to enhancing the feeling of unity between the participating countries.
She added that the camp would develop economic sectors through art.
