Sood calls on PM

KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Indian ambassador to Nepal Rakesh Shood, who is returning home after completing his tenure on August 11, paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal at his official residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday.



During the meeting, Prime Minister Khanal thanked Sood for his contribution to strengthening Nepal-India relations and said India´s rapid economic growth has a positive impact on Nepal.



He also suggested that cooperation between India and China would benefit the entire Asia.



Ambassador Sood said that India attaches the highest priority to its relations with Nepal. He added that India wants to see rapid economic development and political stability in Nepal.
