KALIKOT, May 1: Although there are three municipalities and six rural municipalities in Kalikot district, only a woman candidate has been selected for the post of the Chief for one of these local units in the upcoming local level election.

CPN-UML has fielded Dankala Singh for the Chairperson of the Mahabai Rural municipality.
Similarly, CPN-Maoist Centre will field Danta Bishwakarma for the Vice-Chair of Tilgufa Municipality.
Remaining all candidates are male representing various political parties, including Nepali Congress, CPN-UML among others.
