Sita Air aircraft makes emergency landing after hydraulic failure

The aircraft, which had taken off from Lukla en route to Ramechhap with 14 passengers on board, was diverted to Kathmandu after a technical issue was detected mid-flight, according to TIA officials.

KATHMANDU, April 16:  An aircraft belonging to Sita Air was forced to make an emergency landing at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Wednesday morning after experiencing a hydraulic system failure.


The aircraft, which had taken off from Lukla en route to Ramechhap with 14 passengers on board, was diverted to Kathmandu after a technical issue was detected mid-flight, according to TIA officials.

Following the landing, the aircraft was towed to the parking bay by a tractor due to the failure in its hydraulic system. The Dornier aircraft, with call sign 9N-AIE, showed a loss of hydraulic pressure, as indicated by the cockpit indicator. 


All passengers and crew members are safe and the aircraft remains in stable condition, according to officials.
