KATHMANDU, June 12: Celebrated folk singer Yubaraj Bhusal has returned with a new musical offering this week, releasing Baanjo Bari Narakha (Do Not Leave the Field Barren), a duet that captures the warmth of love and relationships against the backdrop of rural Nepal.
Bhusal, a well-established and popular name in Nepali folk music, has woven romantic emotions and heartfelt human connections into the song, drawing inspiration from village life and culture.

The lyrics and music of the song have been composed by Bhusal himself, while Deepika Bayambu Magar joins him on vocals. The track has been arranged by acclaimed music arranger BB Anuragi, and its music video features performances by Suresh Kohli and Juna Bishwakarma.
The song has been released through Bhusal’s official YouTube channel.
Born and raised in Bihadi Rural Municipality of Parbat district, Bhusal has enriched Nepal’s folk music scene with numerous popular creations, including Ke Pir Paryo Bahini, Tirkha Paniko, Manko Dhoko, Chhodenan Yee Aankha Rasauna, Janmabhumi Parbat, Hasam Bolam and Nasalu Herai.
A recipient of the Lok Kabi Ali Miya Lok Wangmaya Award in 2016, Bhusal is known for his commitment to authentic folk tunes. He says his mission is to bring the stories, struggles and joys of rural life to Nepali audiences at home and abroad through music, while preserving those narratives for future generations.
