Seventy year-old Sher Bahadur Magar of Ganeshthan in Bharatpur Municipality- 11 was caught red-handed by the locals and was handed over to the police, said Chairman of Ganeshthan Tole Development Committee, Rajan Shrestha.
Sher Bahadur allegedly took the girl of the same locality to his house and raped her.
"The crime that Sher Bahadur has committed is unpardonable," said Shrestha and demanded that he be punished at any cost.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, further investigation into the case is underway and the accused will be presented before the court tomorrow.
