SC orders to allocate seats to Madhesi, disabled

KATHMANDU, July 1: The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Public Service Commission (PSC) to allocate quota for Madhesi and differently-able persons in the vacancy advertisement it published on Mangsir 27, 2069.[break]



A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Damodar Prasad Sharma and Justice Prakash Wasti issued a mandamus, asking the PSC to include the quota for the Madhesi and disabled in the vacancy advertisement it published first seeking attorneys by abiding by Section 7 (7) of Civil Service Act.



The mandamus came in response to a writ petition filed by advocate Karunakar Mallik.



However, the SC said it would take time to prepare complete document to the writ.
