KATHMANDU, Oct 29: The justices of the Constitutional Bench of the Supreme Court (SC) have urged lawyers to focus their arguments on the issue of an interim order during the ongoing hearing on the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).
During the hearing, Justice Kumar Regmi said, “Should the interim order also halt the elections? If that happens, the entire system will come to a standstill. Can the country function if everything stops?”

Likewise, Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla also questioned whether an interim order should be issued and, if so, on which matters it should apply. Other judges echoed similar concerns.
So far, advocates Prem Raj Silwal and senior advocate Tikaram Bhattarai have presented their arguments.
The Constitutional Bench comprising Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut and Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla, Kumar Regmi, Hari Prasad Phuyal, and Manoj Kumar Sharma, has repeatedly urged the legal practitioners to keep their debates centered on the interim order.
