Sankhu locals block bus carrying Maoists

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Tension ran high in Sankhu after locals staged protests against Maoists´ three-day general strike on Tuesday morning.



Locals blocked a bus carrying Maoists in Sankhu stating that the shutdown had caused inconvenience to the common people. The bus bound to Nanglebhare was blocked till afternoon.



According to Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu, an additional team was sent from Bauddha to Sankhu to bring the situation under control.
