KATHMANDU, Aug 24: Nepal will take on Bangladesh today in their third match of the ongoing SAFF U-17 Women’s Championship in Bhutan. The game will be played at Changlimithang Stadium and kicks off at 5:45 pm Nepal time.
Both Nepal and Bangladesh have registered one win and one loss each from their first two matches.
Nepal lost 7–0 to India in their opening game but bounced back with a 2–1 victory over Bhutan. Bangladesh, on the other hand, defeated Bhutan 3–1 before going down 2–0 against India.

Bangladesh has recently been performing well in women’s football across various age groups, making today’s fixture a competitive encounter.
The tournament, which runs until August 31, features four teams: Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and hosts Bhutan. It is being played in a double round-robin league format, with the team securing the most points crowned champions.
Currently, India leads the standings with 6 points from two matches. Bangladesh sits second and Nepal third, both with 3 points, separated by goal difference. Bhutan is at the bottom with no points.
