RSP lawmaker Gautam and former PM Bhattarai meet, discuss alternative politics

Bhattarai had also met RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently detained in Pokhara. Following that meeting, Bhattarai said that the government was engaging in retribution against Lamichhane.

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Nepal Samajwadi Party (NSP) Chairman and former prime minister Baburam Bhattarai and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Sobita Gautam held a meeting on Tuesday at Bhattarai’s residence.

During the meeting, they discussed a range of issues, including the country’s political and economic situation, as well as the prospects of alternative politics. Bhattarai later shared on Facebook, “Useful discussion with RSP youth MP Sobita Gautam and young entrepreneur Grihendra Ghimire on various topics, including the country's economic/political situation, the rationale for alternative politics, and more.”


Bhattarai had also met RSP Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently detained in Pokhara. Following that meeting, Bhattarai said that the government was engaging in retribution against Lamichhane.
