MYAGDI, Oct 23: The transportation route between Ghyaasikhark in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-8 and Lulang in Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-2 is back in operation after being shut for four months.
A landslide in Malang, located in Chimikhol of Raghuganga Rural Municipality-7, along with rising water levels in the Darakhol area of Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-2 during the monsoon, had blocked access to Lulang since the month of Asar (June).

Vice-chairperson Resham Pun Magar of Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality mentioned that with the cessation of rains, the water levels have receded, allowing for the resumption of transport on the road to Lulang through the installation of a hump pipe.
The lack of a motorable bridge over the river often disrupts transport between Lulang and Gurja villages during the rainy season. Additionally, after utilizing bulldozers to clear landslides in Malang, with assistance from the Chimkhola–Rahughat–Mangle, Thulakhola, and Upper Thulakhola Hydropower Projects, the road connecting Chimkhola to Ghyaasikhark has also reopened.
Local officials have confirmed that all roads, including those in the remote areas of Myagdi such as Ghyaasikhark and Lulang, which were obstructed during the rainy season, have been repaired, restoring transportation. With the roads now operational, rural residents find it easier to travel, transport construction materials and food grains, and market agricultural and livestock products.
