He called water resources the backbone of Nepal's culture, civilization, and economic development. He said that climate change has altered the global water cycle, and the shrinking glaciers have increased the risk of glacial lake outbursts.
He stated, "Focusing on the proper use of water is essential today. Water is a resource that is not only useful for daily life but also plays a crucial role in the country's economic prosperity. Specifically, for Nepal, we are working towards achieving revolutionary economic prosperity and creating employment through the use of water."
He also pointed out that unseasonal rainfall has significantly impacted the agriculture sector, posing serious challenges for water resource management and future water security. He stressed that the state must formulate necessary plans for a water resource strategy.
