KATHMANDU, Jan 20: Outgoing Mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City (BMC), Renu Dahal, has filed her candidacy from Chitwan Constituency-3 for the House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5.
She submitted her nomination at the Election Officer’s office representing the Nepali Communist Party (NCP). Having served two terms as mayor of the BMC, Dahal resigned from her post on Tuesday to enter the electoral race.

In this constituency, Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Sobita Gautam is also in the fray, adding a competitive edge to the upcoming contest.
