Re-monitoring of border pillars begins

CHITWAN, Oct. 31: The Armed Police Force, Border Security Office Chitwan, has started re-monitoring of the border pillars between Nepal and India.



The monitoring that started since October 25 will run until November 7. It is launched to find the condition of Nepal-India border pillars, according to the office.



A 13-member team led by APF Inspector Meen Bahadur Lamtari has been deputed to border area for monitoring. The team is assigned to carry out a monitoring of pillar No. 45 to 63. Prior to this, a team from the office had completed the monitoring of pillar No. 37 to 44. Of these pillars, pillar No. 40 is found almost destroyed.



The office said it would ask the government for the maintenance of the damaged pillar after the completion of the monitoring.
