KATHMANDU, Aug 5: The monsoon system continues to affect most parts of the country, with the monsoon trough currently positioned north of its average location, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
Windstorm with rainfall likely today
Skies across the country are expected to remain mostly cloudy this afternoon. Moderate rainfall is likely in some areas of Koshi and Madhesh provinces and in many parts of the other provinces. Heavy to very heavy rain is expected in some areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim and isolated places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
Similarly, tonight, weather conditions are expected to remain mostly cloudy nationwide. Moderate rainfall is likely in many areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim, and in some areas of the remaining provinces. The MFD has also forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
