Quake causes huge loss in lack of well-preparedness: Minister Rijal

KATHMANDU, May 31: Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Minendra Rijal has said that the country bore a huge loss in the recent earth quake due to lack of well-preparedness.

He opined so at a programme held here on Saturday.


Minister Rijal, also the spokesperson of the government, opined that due to the lack of awareness about preparedness for the natural disasters, the country had to cope up with huge loss of life and properties in the April 25 quake and subsequent aftershocks.

Stating that the government had attached utmost importance to the disaster management in the aftermath of the quake, the Minister urged one and all to join this cause. RSS
