BIRATNAGAR, Nov 2: Chief Minister of Province 1 Sherdhan Rai on Friday left for Thailand for his medical treatment. CM Rai will be treated for a throat problem at Bangkok-based Bumrungrad International Hospital, said Rai's press advisor Dhurba Subedi.
Personal fund will be used to finance the travel and treatment expenditure, it has been said.

Rai, who has been suffering from the problem, was taken earlier to various hospitals at home like Bir Hospital, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Grande International Hospital and Nepal Mediciti Hospital, he said. Rai is scheduled to return home on November 10.
