Property worth Rs 5m gutted in Pokhara dance club fire

POKHARA, Nov 12: A fire that broke out at a dance club in Lakeside in Pokhara has gutted properties worth Rs 5 million, Monday morning.



The fire started at the Dance Club 99 at around 7 this morning. Police said that no casualty has been reported in the incident.



Though the exact cause of the fire is unknown, electric short-circuit has been assumed to be the possible cause of the fire.







Police said that various expensive goods including furniture, decorative and sound systems have been completely burnt down in the fire.



Police with the help of locals took the fire under control within an hour. More than half a dozen water tankers were used to douse the fire.



The neighboring houses were prevented from catching the fire as the locals immediately became aware of the blaze and took it under control.



The club belongs to four persons, including one Dharma Singh Lamichhane.
