On his recent move to reject two election-related ordinances forwarded by the Maoist-led government, Yadav said, unlike the government which takes into consideration mainly legal aspects, he as the head of state cannot ignore constitution.
The president’s statement comes when UCPN (Maoist), which leads the ruling coalition, has made clear its intent of protest after Yadav refused on Friday to endorse the twin ordinances, the promulgation of which would facilitate conduction of CA polls, citing the lack of relevance.
