President Bhandari offered the special worship wishing that the country is freed from the ongoing crisis, said Member Secretary at the Pashupati Area Development Trust, Dr Govinda Tandon.
Tondon said, “The President who arrived at 10:20 am at the Temple premises paid homage to the Basukinath and performed the worship at the main temple as per the rituals.”
Similarly, the Head of the State also offered special worship to the Shesh Narayan, Lal Ganesh, Surya Narayan, Gangamai, Santap Hareshwor, among other deities, assisted by the main as well as other priests.
Locals of the Pashupati area had welcomed President Bhandari amidst the playing of the Dhime music at the temple premises. Students at the Nepal Ved Bidhyashram welcomed the President reciting vedic hymns. President Bhandari spent around one hour there.
President offers one month’s salary
This was the first visit of Presidnet Bhandari to the Pashupatinath Temple after her election to the post. On the occasion, she offered her salary of the first month of her tenure to the temple.
She offered Rs 121,360 to the temple, said Chief Account Officer of the PADT, Premhari Dhungana. RSS
