Emerging from the meeting, coordinator of the HLPC and NC President Sushil Koirala informed that president Yadav stressed on the need of all parties’ participation in the CA polls.
The HLPC leaders informed President Yadav regarding ongoing talks with the CPN-Maoist and other disgruntled parties aimed at bringing them on board the election process and preparations for holding the election.
“The HLPC has almost agreed to address demands of the CPN-Maoist and other disgruntled parties, except deferring the CA election and dissolution of Khil Raj Regmi-led government,” the HLPC leaders said in the meeting.
Koirala reiterated that the HLPC has agreed to forge consensus with the disgruntled parties except deferring CA election and dissolution of the Regmi-led incumbent government.
UCPN (Maoist) Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, UML Senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal among others were present representing the HLPC.
Earlier, the CPN-Maoist-led 33-party alliance had urged President Yadav to create conducive environment so that they could participate in the CA election, accusing the HLPC of not making the environment suitable for the CA election.
