KATHMANDU, March 2: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakash Man Singh has indicated his intention to contest for the party’s presidency in the upcoming 15th General Convention.

Speaking to reporters in Surkhet on Sunday, Singh, who also serves as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, stated that since he was contested as party president during the 14th General Convention in Mangsir 2078, there is no question of him aiming for a position lower than that. He hinted at seeking re-election for the top post.

When asked whether he was certain about running again, Singh emphasized his political journey, stating, "I come from the grassroots and have a strong legacy. I have risen through the ranks, from district leadership to general secretary, vice president, and deputy leader of the parliamentary party.  Now only the positions of parliamentary party leader, prime minister, and party president are left for me to achieve.”
