PPMO initiates blacklisting process for five construction and supply companies

Although the companies were initially given 30 days to provide clarification, they did not respond. As a result, the office has issued a second notice, asking them to furnish a valid explanation within seven days.

KATHMANDU, June 23: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has initiated the process to blacklist five construction and supply companies for failing to complete their assigned work within the stipulated time.


The move comes following recommendations from respective project implementation units and local municipalities. Although the companies were initially given 30 days to provide clarification, they did not respond. As a result, the office has issued a second notice, asking them to furnish a valid explanation within seven days.

If the companies fail to respond within the extended deadline, they will be formally blacklisted, officials said.
