A total of 33 poles in the Diktel-Ghaighat 11 KV and 33 KV power transmission lines were uprooted in the incident, according to the Nepal Electricity Authority, Khotang.
As a result, daily life has been severely affected with media persons and industrialists hardly hit.
"Works are on to replace the poles and power supply is expected to resume soon", chief of NEA Khotang Purusottam Regmi said.
The heavy winds along with rain caused extensive damage to the district, though no human casualty was reported. "Details of the total damage caused is yet to be collected", said DSP of Khotang Binod Raj Kharel. RSS
