Police seize 9585 liters of diesel in Morang

BIRATNAGAR, Jan 5: Police have seized huge amount of petroleum products being sold on black market from Nepal-Indio border.



A team of police personals mobilized since Monday afternoon, seized 9585 liters of diesel, 662 liters of petrol, 171 gas Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders and 150 liters of kerosene, informed DSP Pramod Kharel at Morang  district police office.

DSP Kharel further said they have detained over three vehicles, its drivers and owners which were being used to ferry the petroleum products.


"We acted upon a complaint that black marketing of the petroleum products is rife in the areas near Indo-Nepal border," said Kharel.
