Police rescue campus chief, abductor arrested

KATHMANDU, March 23: Police have rescued Chief of Raghu Nath Multiple Campus Dirgha Raj Bhatta and four election officials from Sangam Hotel in Bhajani where kidnappers had held them since Saturday night. The police have arrested one Kashi Ram Choudhari, an activist of All Nepal National Free Students Union, according to radio Sagarmatha. The campus chief and the election officials were kidnapped on the eve of Free Students Union polls scheduled Sunday. Following their abduction, the polls had been postponed.
