Police nab man along with 200 liters petrol

PATHARI (Morang), Dec 30: Police have arrested a man along with around 200 liters of petrol that he stole from a fuel tanker belonging to Nepal Oil Corporation from Biratnagar in Morang today.

The arrested is Balram Rajbanshi of Biratnagar-5. He is one of the group members.


On Tuesday night, a group of three persons took under control assistant driver of the tanker, Na 2 Kha 5029, and stole around 200 liters of petrol, said police.

The assistant driver Bablu Kumar Paswan said that the group took him under control, tying his mouth with a band and drove the vehicle parked in front of Koshi Oil Station some 100 meters away before its engine stopped functioning near Tripati Petrol Pump and stole the petrol.

The vehicle had arrived there from India on Monday after refilling.

Meanwhile, police also arrested other five persons including the tanker driver Bishweshor Chaudhary on the charge of their connection into the incident. RSS
