KATHMANDU, Aug 1: Police arrested 47 individuals, including notorious gangster Chakre Gurung, also known as Chakre Milan, on Thursday night. They are reportedly involved in gang-related activities.
Acting on a special tip-off, police carried out an overnight operation in the Thamel and Maharajgunj areas.

According to a police source, the raid was launched after receiving information that individuals involved in gang activity had gathered at a birthday party organized for Chakre Milan. A joint team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office and the Kathmandu Police Range, in plain clothes, conducted the operation.
An official said that further investigation is underway.
