Police have collected Rs 524.7 million in revenue in a single month. According to Nepal Police, this amount was collected from across the country in the last month of Magh (mid-January to mid-February).

KATHMANDU, Feb 27: Police have collected Rs 524.7 million in revenue in a single month. According to Nepal Police, this amount was collected from across the country in the last month of Magh (mid-January to mid-February).


The highest revenue, Rs 239.2 million, came from the arrest of absconding criminals, accounting for over 45 percent of the total revenue. Additionally, Rs 162.7 million was collected from the seizure of goods at customs. Traffic operations contributed Rs 95.9 million, while Rs 10 million came from the capture of illegal gold and silver.

Other notable collections included Rs 3.7 million from hundi transactions, Rs 81 million from undisclosed sources, Rs 22.53 million from controlling illegal riverine mining, Rs 891,000 from the seizure of illegal timber, and Rs 1.57 million from controlling illegal livestock activities.
