Organizing a press conference, chairman of Nepal Air Sports Association (NASA) Sovit Baniya informed to this effect Thursday.
According to him, the week-long competition aims at promoting tourism through entertaining and adventure sports.
Baniya further said that a total 150 paragliding pilots from various 35 countries including Nepal will partake in the competition.
The participant pilots will fly from Sarangkot of Pokhara and land on the shore of the Phewa Lake.
To be funded by the NASA, Nepal Tourism Board and the participants, the competition is estimated to cost around Rs 5.68 million.
The winners will also be given away prizes, said the program coordinator Krishna Prasad Bhandari. RSS
