DHANGADI, Feb 26: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on Sunday expressed his confidence that the recent dialogue among leaders of the major political parties on expediting the peace process and constitution writing would finally make a breakthrough.

While speaking during the inauguration of the Sixth National Games in Dhangadi, PM Bhattarai said, " It is certain that the talks among major political parties ongoing since the last few days on reconciling the remaining disputes of peace and constitution and the formation of a consensus government will make a significant achievement." He claimed the peace process and constitution drafting, which he said was ´totally stalled´ before he took up office, has gained momentum and expressed his confidence that the twin tasks will be accomplished well within the May 28 deadline.

Likewise, he underscored good governance and the agenda of economic prosperity, besides the major tasks of peace and constitution, as having been top priorities of his government.

"A sustainable development of games and sports is out of question without economic prosperity. As such, the government has recently introduced immediate action plan for economic growth and development," the PM said.\
