Emphasizing that the corporation should be led by a professional and capable individual, the Prime Minister had earlier, on October 31, formed a Selection and Recommendation Committee under Secretary Mainali’s coordination to oversee the GM appointment.

The committee includes aviation expert Captain KB Limbu and the Planning and Administration Division head of the Ministry as member-secretary.

During the meeting, Secretary Mainali informed that the committee’s procedural guidelines have been prepared, and some delays occurred due to his temporary absence outside the district. He confirmed that the committee’s first meeting will be held today (Tuesday).

In response, PM Karki instructed that there should be no delays in the appointment process and directed the immediate publication of a notice to invite applications under the open-competition system.
