PM, NC Prez hold talks

KATHMANDU, July 31: Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal and Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala held talks at the latter’s residence in Maharajgunj in the capital on Sunday morning.



During the meeting, which started at 8:15 am and lasted about an hour, the leaders dwelt on a range of contemporary political issues including consensus building, informed the PM’s press advisor Surya Thapa.  [break]



Thapa also informed that the leaders discussed ways to handle the new political situation that has emerged after the largest ruling ally UCPN (Maoist) recalled all its ministers from the government a day earlier.



NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel was also present in the meeting.
