During the meeting, the duo discussed a range of issues including the existing political impasse, ongoing efforts to forge consensus among the political parties, new fiscal budget and formation of consensus government, Koirala said after the meeting.[break]
On the occasion, Koirala expressed concerns over the government´s plan to bring a full-fledged budget without forging political consensus.
President Yadav has been holding talks with senior leaders of the political parties as part of his initiatives to press leaders from major political parties for ending the ongoing political stalemate in the country.
The president had also called on UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday. Earlier on Saturday, the president had held talks with CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal.
