PM asked to furnish arms import details

KATHMANDU, March 2: The State Affairs Committee of parliament on Tuesday directed the prime minister to furnish all the details about the arms and logistics imported after the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections within a week.



A meeting of the parliamentary committee on Tuesday issued the directive to this effect.



Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Home Minister Bhim Rawal were present at the meeting.[break]



Also, the committee headed by UML Lawmaker Ramnath Dhakal has directed the prime minister to fill the vacant posts in all the constitutional bodies within a month.



The government has not yet been able to appoint members and chiefs of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Public Service Commission and Office of the Attorney.



Some of the posts in the statutory organs have remained vacant for three years.
