“We give one-year warranty on all our products,” Saroja Rajbhandari, proprietor of Peltz Shoes, said.
Peltz Shoes, a franchise of Peltz Shoes of the US which opened its outlet in Nepal in 2002, imports all its products from Singapore and Thailand.
The fixed-price showroom, spread in 280 square feet area, has over 350 variety of footwear including shoes and sandals.
“These shoes -- boots and sandals -- are available in almost all sizes and for all age groups,” said Rajbhandari.
Most of the shoes available at the store are made of synthetic leather and soles are made of PU (polyurethane), which consists of tiny air bubbles to absorb sweat and is more durable, and PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for flexibility.
Prices range from Rs 1,050 to Rs 5,000 depending upon the quality and design. While flat slippers, which are favorites during monsoon, cost between Rs 1,050 and Rs 1,850.
“Our shoes are affordable for people of different income groups,” said Rajbhandari. And once people purchase any product worth Rs 300, they automatically become member of the store and members are qualified for 10 percent discount from next purchases.
