Palpa win ITF Championship<br/>Sachit is Mister Himalayan

PALPA, Sept 16: Host team Palpa won the title of Second Manamohan Memorial National ITF Tae-Kwon-Do Championship. Palpa bagged nine gold, six silver and three bronze to lift the championship title. [break]



Similarly, Central Region bagged nine gold, one silver and five bronze and stood second in the medals tally. While Western Region stood third with three gold, eight silver and seven bronze under their belt.



Jhalak Budha Magar and Mamata Thapa, both of Palpa, were named the best man and woman player of the championship.





Sachit is Mister Himalayan



POKHARA, Sept 16: Sachit Pradhan became the winner of the Third Mister Himalayan Bodybuilding Championship held in Pokhara on Wednesday. Pradhan bagged Rs 100,000 along with the trophy.



Shyam Shrestha and Gyan Narayan Maharjan of Nepal Vyayam Mandir stood second and third, respectively, in the event organized by Nepal Bodybuilding and Fitness Association.





Golden Gate, Prime win in basketball



KATHMANDU, Sept 16: Golden Gate and Prime College won their respective matches on Wednesday in the FedEx Fifth Father Watrin Women´s Basketball Tournament being held at the Godavari Alumni Association hall, Thamel.



With 12 points from Neha Chaudhary, Golden Gate cruised to 42-34 win over White House. In another match of the day, Prime College had a narrow 37-33 win over Snow Leopards.
