The opening show of the event on Friday will see National Poet Laureate Madhav Prasad Ghimire sharing his lyrical journey, while Paleti singers Suraj and Meena will present his creations. On Saturday, Dawa Gyalmo and Daisy Baraili are presenting their all time hit duets like ‘Mayalule samjhe ki kaso’ and ‘Banki chari’ along with their singles. On the concluding day, on September 1, Nepal’s Golden Voice Prem Dhoj Pradhan is performing a solo show. [break]
Initiated at Nepathya’s rehearsal studio at nepa~laya – ‘r’ sala in 2005, Paleti has been presenting musicians, lyricists and singers of the past to the music loving audience. The Paleti series has already worked with about forty-five senior creators of Nepali music.
Paleti Utsav 2013 will see three shows with Kabibar Ghimire, Dawa and Daisy, and Prem Dhoj, on August 30, August 31 and September 1 respectively. The shows will be presented at the DAV School auditorium in Dhobighat, Lalitpur.
