Painting competition for conserving our heritage sites

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Patan Museum on Saturday was filled with students participating in the 2nd NMB Bank Inter-school Heritage Painting Competition. Organized by NMB Social Initiative in association with Srijana College of Fine Arts, the event was part of the bank’s work toward heritage preservation and organized with the purpose of helping raise awareness about preserving our various rich heritage sites.



Anil Chitrakar, social entrepreneur, was present as the guest of honor at the event where 112 students from 112 schools all across the country participated. Chitrakar spoke to the students about the importance of maintaining the rich heritage sites of Nepal.



The paintings from the competition will be on display for four days from September 23 to September 26 at Nepal Academy of Fine Arts in Naxal. The winners from the competition will be announced on the last day of the exhibition on September 26
