Though PADT has informally formed a 251-member main organizing committee, the panel is not sailing through as a new Culture Minister hasn´t been appointed, said PADT treasurer Narottam Baiddhya. [break]
Once the minister is appointed the committee will be activated automatically, he said.
PADT formed 10 sub-committees were formed a week ago to manage security, volunteers, decoration, publicity, food and lodging, health and other services as part of preparation for the festival.
Last year, a main organizing committee and nine sub-committees were formed a month prior to the Mahashivaratri Festial.
