Over 111,000 people left valley in a single day

KATHMANDU, Sept 29: In the past 24 hours, 111,000 people have left the Kathmandu Valley. According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 467,000 people have departed the Valley from Ghatasthapana until Sunday afternoon.



Meanwhile, Bijay Bahadur Swar, president of the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs, stated that traffic jams on most highways have caused difficulties for passengers attempting to reach their destinations.

Swar added that around 800,000 people have left the Kathmandu Valley since Ghatasthapana. He also informed that they have requested the traffic police to ensure the smooth operation of transport services.


The traffic police stated that security personnel have been deployed as needed to facilitate uninterrupted travel.
