DHANGADHI, Dec 21: One person was killed in a jeep accident in Darchula district on Monday morning, police said.
The accident occurred at Bhaisey Bagar in Marma Rural Municipality–3 when a jeep (Sudurpaschim Province 01-001 Cha 2604) went out of control and crashed. The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Keshavraj Joshi.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Tek Bahadur Jora of the Sudurpaschim Province Traffic Police Office, Attariya, Joshi was found trapped under the jeep after the crash. He was rescued and taken to the Marma Basic Health Post, where he died during treatment.
The jeep driver, 26-year-old Madhav Mahara of Marma Rural Municipality–6, Seri, has been taken into police custody.
Police said the vehicle plunged around 200 meters off the road. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
