KATHMANDU, May 17: A girl died on the spot when her scooter was hit by a water tanker in front of the Kathmandu Mall on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Sunita KC, according to DSP Basudev Khatiwada. Police have arrested the driver of the water tanker.
Police have initiated an investigation into the matter taking the water tanker driver into custody.
