KATHMANDU, Nov 26: CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has expressed sympathy and support for Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, saying his cooperation will remain with him. Oli made the remarks during an interview with Nagarik Frontline.
“As a political figure, conversations naturally happen. I have had a 52-year friendship with Sher Bahadurji,” Oli said. “What happened to him was inhumane. I feel deep sympathy for him.”

Oli said the mistreatment of an 82-year-old man saddened him. “Even if he had made a mistake, legal remedies were available. But instead of seeking legal recourse, there was brutality—an act of criminal behavior. We cannot support that,” he said.
Reiterating his stance, Oli added, “I have sympathy, goodwill, and support for him. My assistance will remain with him.”
