A Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the party held in Janakpur took a decision to this effect, lawmaker Dimpal Jha told Republica Online.
"We have decided to hold the general convention of the party on March 9-11, said Jha, adding, "as many as 9,000 members of the party have already renewed their membership for the convention."
Preparations are underway to finalize the list of representatives who will take part in the general convention from across the country, said Jha.
One among the nine representatives getting through the ward, VDC and district level conventions will participate in the general convention.
The CWC will also review Madhes movement and formulate a future strategy for the party accordingly.
