NRB  temporarily raises wallet deposit limit for  festivals

According to a circular issued by the Payment Systems Department, individuals can now deposit funds into their digital wallets up to 40 times a day, compared to the existing limit of 10 times.

KATHMANDU, Sept 26 : Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has temporarily increased the limit on wallet deposits to facilitate transactions during Dashain and Tihar.



According to a circular issued by the Payment Systems Department, individuals can now deposit funds into their digital wallets up to 40 times a day, compared to the existing limit of 10 times.

The provision will remain in effect from September 29 to October 7 for Dashain and from October 20 to 24 for Tihar.


NRB stated that the decision aims to ease financial transactions during the festive season and has instructed payment service providers to implement the change.
