The association's comment came after Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), referring to a news report published on Republica's sister publication Nagarik daily, denied that its fuel consignments (of 12,000 liters) are 200 liters short.Nagarik daily had published a news report on Thursday, claiming that dealers were getting 200 liters less fuel on every consignment of 12,000 liters.
Issuing a statement on Friday, NPDA said they won't distribute petroleum products if the issue is not sorted out immediately.
According to the news report, dealers said they were losing Rs 150.5 million every month because of this which is ultimately passed on to consumers.
NPDA also said that NOC was turning deaf ear to their request for correcting this technical problem.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, NOC had said that petroleum consignments are dispatched to dealers after they are duly checked at its depots.
