No restriction in fuel import via Gauriphanta

DHANGADHI, Dec 9: The Banthra depot of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has started providing demanded amount of fuel to Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), Dhangadhi.

IOC had curtailed amount of fuel since long even there was no protest at the border point.

22 petroleum-laden tankers entered Nepal through the Gauriphanta border point in far-western region on Tuesday and 11 tankers entered today.

The NOC regional office said IOC has been providing fuel as demanded.

“There is lack of tankers to import fuel today,” said Chief of the office Sharad Poudel, adding that the office is preparing to send tankers after emptying them.

According to him, there will be no longer of shortage of fuel in the region in one week if the trend continues.
